Nestled in rolling Fife farmland, in the shadow of the Ochil Hills lies Bramblebrae Cottage, a self-catering haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
In peaceful countryside, connected to a network of footpaths, cycleways and bridlepaths and yet only a short journey from some of Scotland’s historic great cities and landmarks, Bramblebrae Cottage is the perfect setting for a countryside holiday.
Whether it’s walking, horse-riding, or cycling in some of Scotland’s best countryside or motor sports at the nearby Knockhill motor racing circuit or shopping and visiting the attractions of Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Dunfermline or Perth, this brand new self-catering holiday house is the ideal accommodation for your holiday or vacation.
The cottage is suitable for the assisted disabled with few steps, room for wheelchairs and a family bathroom with no-step shower cubicle.
Accommodation
The accommodation comprises four bedrooms (two en-suite), bathroom, large living room, kitchen, utility room, toilet and integral double garage. Opening in August 2009, the house and all its fixtures, fittings and furnishings are all brand new. The cottage is suitable for the assisted disabled with few steps, room for wheelchairs and a family bathroom with no-step shower cubicle.
Bedrooms
Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and have “zip and link” beds which make either super-king sized beds or two single beds. The other two bedrooms have twin beds.
Bathroom
The bathroom contains bath, shower, toilet suite and wash hand basin. The low step shower makes it suitable for disabled assisted.
Living Room
The spacious living room features a cathedral type ceiling with velux windows in open plan living area. Comfortably furnished, it has large picture windows looking out over rolling farmland and woods to the hills.
The whole house is centrally heated but the wood burning stove makes it even cosier on cold days!
Kitchen
The modern kitchen is well-equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave cooker, dishwasher and all the conveniences that you would expect as well of course as sufficient cutlery and crockery for 8 people!
Utility Room
The utility room is adjacent to the back door so that muddy clothes can go straight into the washing machine! It is comprehensively equipped with washing machine, tumble-dryer and drying facilities.
Toilet
There is another toilet adjacent to the kitchen and utility room which is handy for the back door - no need to traipse through the house from the paddock or garden or for that busy time in the morning!
Garden
The garden provides a relaxing space to laze around either during the day or evening or if the weather’s warm enough, why not have a barbecue?
Garage/Games Room
The large integral garage provides space to store bicycles, riding gear and any other equipment and has plenty of room for games on wet days! There is also a pool table and air hockey table.
Paddock
Bramblebrae Cottage has its own paddock and is surrounded by good riding country so why not bring your own horses on holiday with you? We have parking for horse boxes and trailers and an all weather sand arena. In addition there are stables available at the farm.
